WHY HARD WORK IS OVERRATED?

"Work hard and you will be successful." The idea of working hard automatically leads to success is but a misconception passed on to the next generation. Well, most of you wouldn't agree with me right away, nonetheless just give it a thought.
A laborer 'grinds' all day and he is barely able to pay for his meals.
A person working two jobs just to pay his rent.
Farmers contribute to 75% of the economy and are underpaid for their efforts.
Would you advise them to work even harder? You probably wouldn't. Then what is it that makes the rich grow richer and the poor become penurious.
Reason Behind Your Failure Despite Being A Workaholic
Most of the work you are doing is inefficient or could be done in a much easier way, or is being done for the benefit of someone else. Consider an employee with a 9 to 5 job and he earns a descent salary after climbing up the corporate ladder which took him about 25 years. Although he might seem to be 'working hard', he probably is just a little better than he was before 25 years.
When you change your perspective it's easier to understand, how "work efficiency" can make a substantial difference in your life.
4 Things To Implement In Your Work Ethic
1. Have A Strong DESIRE Backed By FAITH
Burning desire is the starting point from which the dreamer must take off. Dreams are not born of indifference, laziness, or lack of ambition. Feel and believe that you have already accomplished your dream before doing so. This is perhaps the most important mindset to implement in your work.
People making a fuss about how life had been unfair to them or grumble about their dreadful Monday mornings aren't passionate about their work. Keep in mind that they are hard working people, yet displeased with their work.
2. Have A MILLION DOLLAR Idea With A Plan
To be sure of success you must possess the right skill set, experience, imagination and must work in perfect harmony with your idea. Once you have these, it's time to make a PLAN. Your plan must include
- A goal with a time constraint
- How your idea is better than your competitor's
- Knowing your target audience
- Knowing what to prioritize while working
Suppose you have designed a plan to achieve your goal in one year. Have you thought of a way to do it in 6 months? Probably not. This is what "work efficiency" is about. This is what separates you from most of the people. Think of an easier way to complete the same work in half the time.
3. The "GRIND"
This is when you actually put all your blood, sweat and tears into creating something you are passionate about. I would call it "smart work" rather than "hard work". Like most people, you might think this would be the hardest step. But you've been doing it all along, its just that you were doing it for the benefit of someone else or in a very inefficient way.
4. The RESULTS Of Your Work
It's time you receive your 6 figure cheque, but more importantly you would have built an empire which let's you escape the rat race. You can finally go on your dream vacation in your brand new Maserati, but that's not the best part of it. The best part is you wouldn't have worked a day in your life.
